The North Bend School District #13 board unanimously approved an amended agenda March 5 that added discussion and possible action to authorize a softball player from Reedsport and changed the district nurse’s resignation date.
Director Anna Huit moved “to amend the agenda by adding discussion and potential action about adding a softball player from Reedsport, and the changing of the resignation of the North Bend School District Nurse from 6-12-26 to 4-3-26.” Director DeAnne Wiedenmann seconded; the motion passed on a 7-0 roll call (Carol Yardley, Anna Huit, Megan Kronsteiner - Cahill, DeAnee Wiedenmann, Michelle Roberts, Julie B. Hale and Nathan McClintock each voted Aye).
The amendment was taken up as part of routine approval of the meeting agenda and consent items. Board members did not record separate opposing comments during the vote. The change to the nurse’s resignation date will be reflected in personnel records and consent agenda minutes; the board also authorized the consent agenda package that included new hires and annual contract renewals.
What happens next: the board’s approval of the agenda change permits staff to bring back any recommended action on the softball player at a subsequent meeting and to update personnel documentation to reflect the earlier resignation date.
