Richardson ISD board honors students and community partners

The Richardson ISD board opened its meeting by inviting student council members from GEOR Elementary to lead the pledge and a moment of silence, then moved into a series of recognitions for students, staff and community partners.
Dr. Melissa Heller introduced MetroCare representatives and thanked them for providing funding for additional social workers and a planned MetroCare Hub with evening hours. "Muchas gracias a la asistencia de MetroCare," Dr. Heller said, noting the partnership supports student emotional wellbeing and extended services. The board also recognized Texas Hills Resources for similar support and named multiple campuses and students for academic, arts and athletic achievements, including Jackson Robertson and fourth-grade student Michelle Oldala.
The presentations included photos and brief remarks from honorees. Board President Señor Boutique asked recipients and guests to remain for a group photo and thanked families and staff for their roles in the recognitions.
