PUD highlights new hire, agreements and operations; dredging study update expected in October

"Patrick O'Malley had left the district a few weeks back. And, thankfully, we have since recruited and hired, Poemma Gonzales... She has already she started full time this past Tuesday," the staff speaker said. Staff also described updated use agreements with the school district for Rideout Elementary and revisions to banner agreements and other interagency memoranda to ensure the district recovers administrative costs.
Operations highlights included evaluation of a new golf cart lease (including potential lithium battery options) to replace existing fleets, a facilities assessment for the Fairway Community Center with prioritized maintenance recommendations, and an update that boat ramp launches averaged about 60–70 per day during peak season. Staff said they will reimage a proposed dredging area to inform whether dredging should proceed this winter and will return with an October update.
