No public comments at Polk County FY2025–26 budget hearing

"If you wish to come up and speak on the fiscal year 2526 adopted tentative operating budget and millage rates ... now the time," the chair said when opening the floor.
No one stepped forward to speak; the chair then moved on to the staff recommendations for adoption of millage rates and the final budget. The absence of public speakers was noted on the record before motions were taken and the board voted by voice.
