Board appoints Peter Stauffer to budget committee and approves 2026'27 calendar

Mr. Anderson recommended Peter Stauffer for the budget committee position and moved to appoint him; Mr. Cole seconded and the board approved the appointment 4-0. During discussion board members also cited Betty Komp as a recommended candidate but the board voted to appoint Stauffer.
Superintendent Nieraeth presented the proposed academic calendar and reported staff input: 56% of staff responded to the survey and, among respondents, 58% preferred starting the year before Labor Day. Mr. Anderson moved to accept the calendar as presented; Mrs. Reeser seconded and the motion passed 4-0. The calendar will be adopted for the 2026'27 school year as the board recorded.
