Council members raised several infrastructure concerns during the April 15 meeting, asking staff to pursue sidewalk grant availability and follow up on remaining sidewalk damage at 2nd and Railroad. Clerk/Treasurer Kaci Anderson was asked to share a list with Public Works for repair priorities.
Councilmember Scott Mortimer reported meeting with a CenturyWest engineer who will provide a reference to a structural engineer for a future airport inspection. CenturyWest and the Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) were noted as working on an out-of-call agreement to address conditions on Kathy Blvd; council also discussed including Kanniwai/Maple Street bridge issues in upcoming TIB grant applications. Council requested the airport closure be listed on the next meeting’s agenda.
