The council voted to approve agreements with the Washington State Department of Commerce and Nexus Planning related to a Periodic Update Grant (PUG) that will fund updates to the Town of Wilson Creek’s Comprehensive Plan. The motion to approve the agreements was made by Councilmember Karl Hinze, seconded by Councilmember Shirley Billings, and carried during the Clerk/Treasurer report portion of the meeting.
Clerk/Treasurer Kaci Anderson told council that TIB and CenturyWest discussed an out-of-call agreement option to speed work on Kathy Blvd, and that Kanniwai/Maple Street bridge issues will be included in TIB grant applications due July 31 with awards announced in November and work to be completed in 2027. The PUG approval positions the town to proceed with required planning updates under state timelines.
