Morrow SD reports enrollment decline, cites budget uncertainty ahead of potential federal funding disruption

Superintendent Matt Combe reported to the board that district enrollment for Nov. 10 stands at 2,188, down 42 students from the same time last school year. "Our enrollment as of today is 2188, which is down 42 from the same time last school year," Combe said, and noted the district has a net gain of 20 students from inter-district transfers to date.
Combe also referenced IMESD talking points on the state school budget and told the board staff are monitoring district expenditures with a 'needs vs wants' approach because of uncertainties tied to a possible federal government shutdown and its effects on state and federal funding.
