The Reynolds School District Board of Education heard a financial report March 18 that showed an estimated ending fund balance of about $2.6 million while a district budget-planning sheet projects a roughly $20 million shortfall.
Under Superintendent's Reports the Superintendent told the board that "Ending fund balance shows an estimate of only $2.6m. The budget planning sheet shows a deficit of $20m." The report also noted operational friction that could complicate small-revenue tracking: "My School Bucks doesn't sync well with iVisions to keep track of payments made at school sites. Currently pull report from one to manually upload into the other."
District staff told board members that clubs' funds have been centralized at the district level per the recent audit, which changes how individual schools track locally raised revenues. The minutes show an enrollment report was listed on the agenda but do not include enrollment figures discussed at the meeting.
Board members did not take a budget action at the March 18 meeting; the discussion appears intended to inform upcoming budget planning. The minutes do not record a follow-up date for additional financial details or an updated revenue forecast.
