Residents press county for speed bumps, drainage fixes and prioritized road work in Lake Wales neighborhoods

Diane Borders, who lives in the Highland Park Manor community, thanked the board for recent approvals and asked when speed bumps and drainage work will begin on Tangelo and Freelander Road. She warned that incomplete drainage work left water settling in roads during the rainy season. Commissioner Scott responded by asking her to see county staff (Jake Jarvis) for follow up: "If we've started something and haven't finished it, we definitely wanna make sure we address that."
