Staff told the committee that planning and design for EV charging at the Tahoe City Community Center are included in the 2025 work program and that permitting remains an outstanding item. Staff emphasized the need for a written EV policy to govern charging rates and access once stations are operational.
Separately, staff said the Scottie Laff Skate Park remains in early discussion and that the district would include a small special‑project reserve to cover potential legal or consultant fees related to that project and monitoring staff time. "So once we complete the EV stations, we wanna make sure we know how to charge people and all that," staff said. A board member reminded the group the district's only committed item would be potential operations and maintenance if a park were built.
