Board approves TELACU Construction Management to oversee Skyline Ranch elementary

The Sulphur Springs Union School District Board approved the TELACU Construction Management Master Service Agreement and Work Authorization #1 on Sept. 25, authorizing TELACU to provide construction management services and specifically to oversee the new elementary school in the Skyline Ranch community. Dr. Joshua Randall told the board TELACU's scope and the work authorization assign TELACU to that project. The motion to approve was made by Trustee Lori MacDonald, seconded by Trustee Shelley Weinstein, and passed by voice vote 4‑0 with Trustee Paola Jellings absent.
Board members noted that TELACU's proposal had previously been approved at the Sept. 11 meeting and the agreements presented on Sept. 25 formalize the contractual oversight role for the elementary school construction. The board did not discuss alternative firms at length during this meeting.
