At the June 9 meeting the Spearman ISD Board of Trustees recognized the district's UIL academic and band accomplishments and received a presentation of new band uniforms by Band Director Danyelle Slough and student Benjamin Garcia.
The board also accepted donations to the Cameron Meddock Scholarship: a $1,766.72 donation from SportZone and a $50 donation from Keith and Jodie Hight in memory of Neil Pack, for a combined total of $1,816.72. The consent agenda motion that included acceptance of the gifts was made by Jay Tracy, seconded by Anne Marie Pearson, and passed 7-0.
The recognition was entered on the agenda under "RECOGNITION," and the band presentation was noted in the meeting record; no additional financial or operational action tied to the uniform presentation was recorded.
