Council asks attorney to research allowing two fireworks booths, tables item to March 23

Councilman Jeramy Allman and Councilwoman Jodie Curtis requested reconsideration of the city ordinance that currently permits one fireworks sales booth in city limits. Last year the council approved an exemption for two booths, and members asked whether an allowance for two booths could be codified.
City Attorney Jim Buzzard said he would research the legal possibility and requested one month to report back; the council moved to table the discussion to the March 23 meeting. No change to the ordinance was adopted Feb. 9.
