Joe Motta, facilities staff, reported that the district completed its first walkthroughs with building principals and Deputy Vian and found no immediate major issues. He noted a need for wayfinding signage and that some painted-over school-spirit artwork should be addressed.
Motta said lighting updates have been completed at TCE and MCE, and he is waiting for a formal quote for MCE work. He also reported the CMS roof membrane replacement is complete; by sourcing the product and using the maintenance department, the district expects the membrane to last 10–12 years and said the approach saved money compared with contracting the work out. Motta will perform additional walkthroughs with SAIF, custodians and principals later in the week.
