Superintendent Susan explained the proposed replacement timeline: the vacancy would be posted Jan. 21, applications would be open through Feb. 3, the board could review applications at a work session (date TBD) and appoint a replacement at the February meeting for the remainder of the term (through June 2027). The board agreed to publicize the opening via ParentSquare and community outreach channels; members discussed whether interviews would be needed and left that decision for the review process.
The board also agreed participation by interested board representatives and an option to run interviews if multiple applicants applied.
