Ryan Savage presented fall assessment data and explained differences between the instruments used. Savage told the board that DIBELS and I-Ready produce different numbers because I-Ready includes comprehension measures that DIBELS does not, and the district is using I-Ready to identify instructional gaps and implement interventions such as Read 180.
Savage said I-Ready allows students and parents to access lessons online and that staff are planning parent workshops to increase family engagement around assessment and intervention use. Board members asked about parent supports and Savage said staff believe they are heading in the right direction to support students.
