Joe Motta updated the board on facilities Nov. 5, saying he met with HGE to discuss ADA access across district buildings and expects an HGE report this month for presentation in December. Motta also flagged a long-range planning grant opportunity (matching support for a potential bond) with a February application deadline that requires a long-range plan.
Motta said Knife River provided a $3,700 quote to pave a handicap parking spot at CVS. He also detailed the Canyonville Safe Routes project: Knife River planned to finish west-side sidewalks from Reed to Johnson by Thanksgiving, pave northbound lanes from Reed to Long early in the week following the meeting, install a crosswalk island and flashing beacons in early December, and complete paving and striping by mid-December.
