Union representatives told the board they remain concerned that staff need explicit channels and contract protections to raise safety concerns. "By not allowing staff to verbalize their safety concerns to their immediate supervisor ... contradicts what the district is saying," Megan of the bargaining team said during public comment, urging clearer protections and staff voice in safety processes.
Superintendent Susan said the district maintains training through Public School Works, in‑person job‑specific training and a safety committee chaired by facilities supervisor Chuck Loesch; she encouraged continued review when Reisner presents more program detail next month.
