The Stanfield School Board unanimously elected Scott Morris as board chair and Nikki McCann as vice chair during its Aug. 6 regular meeting. Nikki McCann moved to elect Scott Morris as chair; Devin Bailey seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Devin Bailey then moved to elect Nikki McCann as vice chair, a motion seconded by Scott Morris and approved by the board without objection. The elections followed roll call and a short attendance report: Scott Morris, Devin Bailey and Nikki McCann were present; Karen Johnson, Cecili Longhorn and Lacey Sharp were noted absent (Sharp arrived later at 5:50 p.m.).
The board opened routine administration and policy business following the elections and proceeded into administrative reports and action items for the evening.
