Tony Foster, general manager of Richmond Power & Light, presented Ordinance 33-20-26 — a proposed new schedule of rates and charges — and asked the Richmond Common Council to refer the proposal to the finance committee for review. Foster said the RPL board passed a resolution on July 13 referring the schedule to the council and that a presentation and public hearing will follow committee review.
"I believe our tonight, our simple request is to refer this to the finance committee for review, and we'll come back at a later date for a presentation and public hearing," Foster said. Council agreed and referred the ordinance to finance; no final rate action occurred at the Aug. 3 meeting.
