Rush City board approves three resolutions to terminate or not renew teacher contracts; votes 5–1
Summary
On March 19 the Rush City School Board approved resolutions to terminate or not renew the teaching contracts of K. Person, T. Locker and T. Buchmann. Each resolution passed on roll-call votes with five members voting yea and one member (Teri Umbreit) voting nay.
The Rush City Public School District board approved three separate resolutions relating to the termination or nonrenewal of teacher contracts during its March 19 meeting. The items were listed as: a resolution relating to the termination and nonrenewal of the teacher contract of K. Person; a resolution relating to the termination and nonrenewal of the teaching contract of T. Locker; and a resolution relating to the termination and nonrenewal of the teaching contract of T. Buchmann.
Each resolution was moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes and passed on roll-call votes with Haugrud, Lind, Papke, Roth and Schmidt recorded as voting "Yea" and Umbreit recorded as voting "Nay." The minutes show motions moved by Rory Roth (K. Person), by Rory Roth (T. Locker, seconded by Ken Lind) and by Kevin Haugrud (T. Buchmann, seconded by Rory Roth) with the same roll-call pattern for all three actions.
