The Rush City Public School District board approved a consent agenda on June 18 that included several personnel actions and district obligations.
The consent agenda approved employment of Meg Laffen as a bus driver effective May 14, 2026; Andrew Millford as high school English teacher effective Aug. 26, 2026; and Grace Arnevik as an elementary teacher effective Aug. 15, 2026. The board also recorded resignations effective June 4, 2026 for Jerilyn Mattson (assistant principal), Sara Gray (long-term elementary substitute), Barbara Fischer Emmerich (elementary ADSIS) and Dirk Anderson (high school special education teacher), and a resignation of James Hatz, Technology Coordinator, effective July 1, 2026.
The consent agenda included approval of district obligations of $1,537,891.62. The motions to approve the agenda and the consent agenda were made by Board Member Rory Roth, with seconds by Kevin Haugrud and Ken Lind respectively, and each motion carried 5-0.
