Sharp noted two community events: a Thanksgiving Feast that "fed 499 people" and a PTG Neon Nights Dance attended by "424 people." The minutes record those participation totals.
Blaine Braithwaite, speaking for the secondary campus, presented ESSA accountability details—graduation levels, regular attenders, ELA and math growth—previewed a January prep week and finals schedule in which every class will have a final assessment, and said he is considering a move to a block schedule in 2026–27. Lorena Woods provided dean-of-students and athletic updates including attendance checks, inter-district transfer infractions, referral data, a football survey, and schedules for basketball and wrestling. Woods also promoted the Angie Hart Scholarship Benefit night scheduled Dec. 16.
Superintendent Beth Burton reported on funding transparency, attendance at the COSA Law Conference, and mentioned the state Accountability bill SB 141 while presenting the 2025–27 SIA grant agreement for board action. The reports provided context for items later on the action agenda and noted priorities for upcoming weeks, including prep and finals for secondary students.
