A district staff member presented the district's 25‑27 Student Investment Account (SIA) grant totals and plans for the funds, saying the biennium allocation is "It's $1,183,861" after a reduction of around $156,000 tied to projected tax losses. The staff member said SIA dollars will fund staff development, portions of CTE positions, the elementary behavior support specialist and pre‑K/ELD teacher time and supplies.
Following the presentation, a board member moved to approve the 25‑27 SIA grant agreement and the motion passed by voice vote. The board discussed that some planned uses had already been implemented and approved by the Oregon Department of Education, and noted a small budget adjustment was made to supplies to account for the state revenue projection change.
"We had to reduce by a 156,000 because of projected tax loss," the district staff member said, describing a corresponding modest cut in supply days in the district plan. Trustees asked clarifying questions about uses and timing; no formal amendments were proposed during the vote.
