Emily Veale briefed the board on the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum adoption process and announced a public viewing period for materials from Oct. 17 through November 14, 2025.
Staff presented three digital curriculum options under consideration (one option includes a consumable workbook). The curriculum adoption team includes Camron Pope, Michelle Lind, Emily Savage, Ian Dahl, Ryan Jephson, Halea Baca and Cassie Palmer; middle school is piloting the Wayfinder curriculum. Veale said a formal recommendation will be brought to the board by January 2026 at the latest.
The district invited the public to review materials during the posted viewing window and to provide feedback through the process established by the adoption team. The board received the informational update and did not take a formal vote at the work session.
