Pendleton board begins crafting 2026–27 strategic priorities, schedules facilitated June session

Superintendent Michelle Jensen opened a structured brainstorming session to help the board reflect on the current Strategic Plan and identify priorities for the 2026–27 school year. Board members each shared observations of strengths, progress, and areas needing attention; they then listed their top two to three priority areas to guide goal-setting.
Chair Beth Harrison noted the board will use the information from this work session to finalize goals at a June 2 facilitated session led by Mike Scott. The May 5 work session will focus on developing measurable goals (two hours), and the June 2 session is scheduled for three hours for full goal crafting. The board emphasized alignment of new goals with the Pendleton School District Strategic Plan and directed staff to prepare materials to support measurable action items.
