Port Orford-Langlois board votes to move bond measure forward to county ballot

The Port Orford-Langlois School Board voted unanimously March 16 to permit district leadership to proceed with a bond measure so it can be placed on the county ballot.
Superintendent Aaron Miller requested permission to move forward with the bond project. "We need the board's permission to move forward with the Bond project," Miller said. Carol Hacherl moved and Angel Ashdown seconded; the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
Board discussion during recurring business confirmed the board expects bond-related costs to be included in the 2026–27 proposed budget and directed staff to incorporate those estimates. The district did not specify bond dollar amounts or a ballot date during the meeting.
