Jonathan Anderson introduced himself as a district graduate and a parent and described recent difficulty filling out several district online applications because the systems required passwords and other support the family did not have. He said he contacted the district's IT staff for help and asked the board to consider more hands-on assistance for families who are less familiar with the online processes.
Anderson said the complexity of current systems is a barrier for some families and recommended the district provide clearer support for parents completing required forms. He spoke during the public-comment period and used his time to both thank the district for services and to ask for concrete IT support.
