The Stanton ISD Board voted to accept the resignation of Trustee Reggie Franklin; the motion was made by Ramiro Reyes and seconded by Jana Cook and recorded as passed. The resignation creates a trustee vacancy with the term expiring in May 2026 and a replacement to serve until the next trustee election in May 2027, per the agenda language.
Earlier in the meeting Mr. Hol-Land administered the oath of office to Jeremy Louder. The board also entered a closed session from 6:34 p.m. to 7:08 p.m. with listed topics including personnel under Texas Government Code Section 551.074, deliberation about real property under Section 551.072, and deliberation to possibly interview candidates to fill the Trustee vacancy. After closed session the board approved personnel hires as presented.
