The Stanton Independent School District Board of Trustees completed its annual reorganization on June 8, electing trustees to leadership roles for the coming year.
Trustee Jana Cook nominated Jeremy Louder for Board President; the motion passed. Ramiro Reyes moved to nominate Trustee Brandon Ireton as Vice President, and that motion also passed. Brandon Ireton moved, seconded by Tiffany Wells, to nominate Jana Cook as Board Secretary; trustees recorded affirmative votes for each nomination. Voting records in the minutes show six yeas for the officer elections among trustees present.
The reorganizational votes ensure district leadership is in place for routine governance, committee assignments and signing authority for the coming year.
