The Stanton Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to adopt a resolution authorizing purchase of a tract of real property described as the surface estate in Lots Six and Seven, Koonce Acres, located south of Buffalo Trail near Stanton High School.
The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Mrs. Jana Cook and seconded by Trustee Ramiro Reyes; the motion passed unanimously with six yeas and one absence. The adopted resolution authorizes the superintendent and/or board president to finalize negotiations and execute the purchase agreement and related documents, and it sets an explicit maximum consideration "not to exceed $250,000.00 plus the closing and other costs" as recorded in the resolution language.
