Winlock seeks geotechnical study and quotes for Community Building wheelchair ramp

Winlock's Community Development Director Robert Webster told the City Council on March 9 that the city will obtain a geotechnical report, following the advice of the City Engineer, to determine what is required to fill a persistent sink or "hostel hole" on city property.
Webster also recommended replacing the Community Building's existing wheelchair access ramp with a prefabricated aluminum ramp as the most economical option. Councilman Jess Bowers emphasized the city should proceed to fill the hole regardless of whether grant funding is secured. Councilman Jeramy Allman asked Webster to obtain a quote for the ramp and submit it to City Clerk Maureen Crabtree for placement on a future council agenda.
