Council approves leases for youth baseball and Lions Club storage (one councilor recused)

Council approved an amended lease for Winlock Youth Baseball at Winolequa Park after staff and counsel noted several corrections to the document. M. Randt Williams told council that the Winlock Youth Baseball Board and ToledoTel pay Lewis County PUD for the concession-stand power. Councilman Jeramy Allman moved to approve the amended rental agreement, and Councilman Chuck Camps seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Council later considered the Winlock Lions Club bingo storage lease (tabled from Feb. 9). After discussion about removing a yearly calendar requirement — which Councilwoman Jodie Curtis said prevents scheduling conflicts — the council approved the amended Lions lease. Curtis recused herself from the Lions vote; the minutes record ayes from Councilmembers Bowers, Allman, Hornburg and Camps.
