Logan Gray, Silverton FFA chapter president (speaker 10), reported the chapter's recent success at state conventions and competitions, including a 4th-place finish for the Parley Pro team, multiple individual placings, and a national-chapter gold award that qualifies the chapter for national competition. Gray listed team and individual placings and recognized students who received state-level awards.
Other student speakers described SkillsUSA outcomes — welding and fabrication team state champions advancing to nationals, and several individual placings in areas from firefighting skills to public speaking. Students emphasized the value of CTE and competitions in preparing students for careers and noted upcoming events including a chapter banquet on May 17 and greenhouse plant sales in early May.
