Sudan ISD board approves consent agenda, accepts financial report

The School Board of the Sudan Independent School District approved its consent agenda and accepted the district financial report at a regular meeting on June 8, 2026. President Richard Salazar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., and the consent items—minutes from prior meetings, the tax collector’s report and the transfer list—were approved on a motion from board member Susan Baker with a second from Dustin Provence; the board recorded the vote as 5-0.
Superintendent Scott Harrell then presented the financial report; Vice President Clay Carr moved to accept the report, seconded by board member Joe Ky Shultz, and the motion carried 5-0. The agenda noted no report was offered by the Budget and Finance Advisory Committee. These routine approvals clear the district to proceed with budget- and procurement-related follow-up actions discussed later in the meeting.
