High school reports successful college and career fair; OSHA10 added to student training

High School Assistant Principal and CTE Director Ms. Wallisa told the board that Trimester 1 focused on college access and Trimester 2 will emphasize career pathways. She said a college-and-career fair that included about 30 colleges plus agricultural partners, businesses and military branches "was a huge success."
Ms. Wallisa noted a planned financial-aid night and said staff member John Iverson has earned OSHA10 certification; the district plans to incorporate that certification into Trimester 2 and 3 student training. She also reported ongoing partnerships with Willamette Work Ready and the Willamette Career Academy and said she will return with data comparing postsecondary trade-program enrollment versus four-year college enrollment.
