The City Council on Aug. 5 voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2024-29, designating a representative to manage the city's Recreation and Conservation Office grant application under the Community Outdoor Athletic Facilities (COAF) program. Councilmember Brian Williams moved the resolution and Councilmember Janice Gonzales seconded; the motion passed with all members present voting in favor.
Community Development Director Ardele Steele told the council the action was required by the COAF application process to identify an authorized representative. The resolution authorizes the city to pursue the grant and assigns an internal point of contact for grant management and signature authority if the award is offered.
