Superintendent Reggy Spencer told trustees that the district’s TIA (Teacher Incentive Allotment) data has been validated for $250,000; he said teachers who will receive those payments will be introduced in May. He also reported that the district received a LASO grant and is considering the engage2learn program.
Spencer added that the Education Commissioner approved two new positions—math and reading—under the Middle School Turn Around Plan. He also noted that SEED‑purchased daycare furniture was donated to a newly formed daycare; SISD had paid a portion of the costs but transferred all baby beds and similar items to the new center.
