Sweetwater ISD CTE and DECA present anti‑bullying book featuring K‑9 Dasha

Trustee Reggy Spencer introduced CTE Director Marina Wilcox, who outlined current CTE department activities and introduced Officer Traven Berrie and his K‑9 partner Dasha. Officer Berrie described a project created with graphic design and DECA students: an anti‑bullying book aimed at PK–3 students. DECA students Allie Thompson and Sophia Vela presented their state‑qualifying program centered on the book.
Officer Berrie said he plans to continue producing additional books featuring Dasha and hopes to secure donations so every student in grades PK–3 and school libraries can receive copies. The board received the presentation during National Career & Technology Education Month.
