Taft Independent School District trustees voted unanimously Friday night to move a closed session earlier in the agenda during a special meeting at Taft High School Library. "Motion to move Closes Session before Item No. 4 Board Recognition," was recorded as the motion; Trustee Paul Luis Treviño made the motion and Trustee Miranda Benedict seconded it.
The motion passed 7-0 with Trustees Manuel Banda, Matthew Banda, Greg Benedict, Miranda Benedict, Diana Buendia, Johnny Carvajal, Nicole Garza and Paul Luis Treviño recorded as voting "Yea." The Board entered closed session at 6:06 p.m. to address personnel matters outlined on the agenda. According to the minutes, the Board reconvened at 6:35 p.m. and "No action was taken as a result of discussions held in Closed Session."
