Superintendent Tim Crider told the Board that the district's Fall 2026 reconfiguration work is progressing, with a "Reconfiguration Roadmap to Fall 2026," intent-to-return forms, and a transportation survey distributed to families. The survey results "strongly supported the addition of shuttle or express bus routes to improve transportation efficiency and reduce travel time for families," the report recorded.
District staff are managing staffing transitions and maintain hiring pools for grades 3–5; maintenance and accessibility upgrades are underway including a new stair lift at Hillcrest Elementary and FEMA Type 5 Container planning at North Bay as part of resilience hub efforts. Transportation transition planning with First Student includes onboarding, new district buses, and seatbelts on all buses.
