North Bend School Board adopts new K–12 health curriculum, sets graduation date

The North Bend School District Board on May 7 adopted The Great Body Shop as the K–8 health curriculum and Live Well for grades 9–12, approving the materials unanimously, 7-0. Director Julie B. Hale moved to adopt the curriculum and Director Anna Huit seconded; the item was framed by Anna Huit with thanks to curriculum staff for aligning materials with required standards.
Superintendent Tim Crider’s report also noted that graduation is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026. The Board recorded the curriculum adoption as an action item and the adoption will guide health instruction in the district for the coming year.
