Jefferson PUD announced an income‑qualified appliance rebate in partnership with Bonneville that provides vouchers for efficient washers and dryers to eligible Port Ludlow households.
"Folks that are on our list for income qualified households would have received a postcard like this, which is a voucher. That is good for a washer and a dryer. That is an $800 washer and a $800 dryer that BPA is providing rebates for," Jason Hahn said during the stakeholder update. He said distribution and sign‑up information is available under the PUD's sustainability tab and that Henry's in Port Hedlock is handling local distribution and intake for qualifying residents.
Hahn said the program is first‑come, first‑served and encouraged residents who received a postcard to visit Henry's or contact the PUD to claim the vouchers. The PUD framed the program as a load‑management and efficiency measure that also saves participating households money on monthly bills.
The announcement included an invitation to visit the PUD booth at the Jackson County Fair for in‑person questions and assistance with enrollment.
