Board approves raffle plan and committee liaisons; general manager search reset to redefine role

The board approved a motion to let Lois, Howard and the finance group plan a raffle to raise funds for PLDC operations at the July 5 community event. Speaker 2 moved the motion and it was seconded; the motion passed on a voice vote. “So the motion is to go forward with this, to plan a raffle at the July 5 event using whatever resources we need to accomplish this,” the mover said.
Board members also approved Jeff Lang as liaison to the emergency committee and Howard Weiner as liaison to the trails committee by voice vote. Separately, Joan Johnston (self‑identified as an LMC representative) reported that the general manager search reached final interview stages but the board is returning to a re‑scoped job description after finalists declined or said the role was too large; the board will consider dividing duties and re‑advertising the position, with a goal to have a GM in place before year‑end.
