Council adopts revised bylaws after administration committee motion

The Port Ludlow Village Council adopted a revised set of bylaws after the administration committee presented edits intended to align the documents with state nonprofit and governance requirements. Administration committee representative (S10) moved "to adopt the bylaws as they are currently written and adopt them today and put them into our website as the current document, replacing the ones that were made," and the motion was seconded by social-wellness committee member (S3). The administration committee said it found about 20 spots needing clarification to maintain compliance with RCWs and that changes had been circulated after a workshop. The committee also noted it received no public comments during the circulation period and had posted the draft documents to the council website for review.

The council’s action replaces the prior November 2024 edits with the newly adopted text; the administration committee will post the adopted bylaws to the council website and continue outreach so partners and members understand procedural changes.
