A commissioner moved on the dais to add under new business “consideration of the termination of our city manager,” saying repeated disregard of commission direction and alleged missteps by staff justified the late addition. "I'm making a motion to agenda to amend the agenda for good cause... to make a motion to consideration of the termination of our city manager," the commissioner said.
The motion was seconded, put to a roll-call vote and failed. Mayor Harden and the clerk reminded the chamber the meeting was convened to hear the budget; after the failed amendment the commission voted to adopt the printed agenda and continued with the scheduled budget items.
