Ridgefield Park Heavy Rescue Squad installs officers; chief reports 52 calls last year

At the Jan. 27 meeting the Board recognized the installation of elected officers for the Ridgefield Park Heavy Rescue Squad. Commissioner Askar H. Mirza thanked attendees and said he was proud of the team before asking Chief Mike Ruiz to present an annual report. Chief Ruiz said the Rescue Squad responded to 52 calls in the past year and summarized apparatus and equipment, training, building repairs and community event support.
Village Clerk Tara O'Grady administered oaths of office to the administrative and line officers. Mayor MacNeill thanked the squad members and asked them to thank their families for their support.
