East Orange Water Commission: lead-line rebid in state review; Dickinson well replacements drilled

Thomas Matich, Acting Executive Director, updated the board on several infrastructure projects. "The rebid for the Lead Service Line is in state review right now," Matich said. He reported closeout documentation for the Emergency Generator was mailed to the engineer and that Dickinson well replacements (3/8 and 4/9) have been drilled with some borings extended an additional 30 feet.
Matich said reservoir repairs are planned later in the year and timing will be set to ensure the utility can maintain reservoir capacity during work. He added the conversion project (unspecified in the minutes) remains in state review alongside the lead-line rebid. Staff estimated well completion optimistically in 45 to 60 days, pending weather.
