East Orange to seek council resolution to appoint interim health officer

She clarified the interim role would be compensated via an honorarium rather than a full salary because DeFilippo remains assigned to his primary jurisdiction.
VP Corbitt asked about pay; Maponya confirmed the health officer position is budgeted and the interim arrangement anticipates an honorarium. President Harris thanked Maponya and noted DeFilippo’s familiarity with shared challenges would be beneficial during the transition.
